1987 El Camino interior REVIVE

Going from long speedo to rally gages. Painted gage face plate and cover to match dash. Gage cover will have maple wood grain inserted like factory. Waiting for T10 dimmable Led's to arrive so I can put it all together.

Cant wait to see ot all done.

Started the dash repair filling and sanding.
Also painted up some dash pieces.

Not at the moment the original plan was to cap it but im going to try to repair it and dye it due to all the cracks being on top not the face of the dash hopefully it works out.

Ok the dash pieces came out nice going to spray a matte clear over them for a little added protection.

So i took advantage of the sunlight and finished spaying the dash and im pretty pleased with the outcome

All glued in and vents installed.

Looks FANTASTIC! would like to replace mine, but later on in project 'restoration'. Good info tips, thanx!

So you used a spray foam to fill in cracks, sanded and painted?
Closed cell or open cell foam?
Brand?
