1987 gp transmission swap

i recently attempted to swap my th 200 4r for a th 200c, i am new at this and was attempting to go off of other peoples directions and neglected to take the torque converter off. it slid in and bolted up alrite but when i jacked it up into place the flywheel did a 1/4 rotation and arched out the starter, my question is where do i go from here, i figure i need a new torque converter but dont kno wich one i should buy as there seems to be alot of choice for this transmission its an 87 with the 305.i need to kno the bolt circle aprox. stall and lock up codes cheers thanks for your time

So you slid the trans out with the converter still bolted to the flywheel? Did you ever un-bolt it or did you try to slide the new trans on to it? How did your flywheel spin a 1/4 turn? And what do you mean "arched out" your starter? Like electrically fried it or did something bend? Were you trying to start the car when this happened? Your stock converter should fit your new trans as long as they have the same spline count. Also, any reason why you chose to go from the 200-4R to the 200C? Lastly, would you mind explaining your username?
