No worries man thats what the forum is for i ask alot of questions myself so im just do n my part to help out aswell

The thing i have noticed that helps is good prep work always helps. Take the time to clean your surfaces as best u can. Like i seen in a commercial 90% prep work 10% paint work

How durable is that paint? Of course not as good as powder coating... I am actually about to do my control arm and springs and steering components. I have it semi taken apart...

Very good work so far. And here is my 2cents on the paint........ looks good and use what ya got.
I put alot into my car so far but I stripped the frame where I could and used cheap paint and undercoat for now. Yes not resto quality that I would normally do but for now I can focus my funds on other stuff while making my car better in other areas.
I also did the blazer/vette brakes. What hubs are you going to use? I brought moog ones. If you go on advance auto web site and do the live chat. Ask for a 35 percent off code. You might need 2 codes because only works one time but they should give you them. Free delivery and they cost me 107 each. I would rather spend that money once then 60 to 80 twice per hub.
Are you keeping the inner wheel well housing out?
Really nice monte btw!

havent got the hubs yet i will look into that advance auto u mentioned. I do plan on put the inner wheel wells but after i drop my motor in to give me room to maneuver.

The ok 1 thing I forgot to mention about the advance auto deal os the highest discount per order is 50 off so thats why you have to do 2. I have done this several times for my hubs, calipers, dba rotors and other parts.pepboys normally offers 25 to 35 off as well but I have found some parts are cheaper at advance.

I see you haven't put them springs in yet! LOL! Such a not fun job. I rented a compressor to do mine and what a p.o.s. it was. I wound up putting the spring on the bottom arm and used a 2 in aluminum block with a hole in the center and used the fingers inside the spring and compressed the hell outta of it. Then I used 2 ratcheting strap 1on each side to give it a a better chance of not killin me. I also used a 4x4 block of wood with a 1in hole drilled thru so I could put the compressor bolt head inside of so I could place it on top of the jack. I still had to use 2 more jacks on the bushing points and the weight of the car to install the springs. My 1st time in years doing this but it seemed harder this time around. Now I did use 1in lower springs so maybe the spring weight fought me? But its done. I truely cant see how it can be done anyother way. I did buy a new compressor with my deposit only because I have a feeling I will be installing 2in or even coil overs later.

But wow amazing how some sanding and spray paint can make things look so much better.

The rear is that a 7.5 or 8.5 10bolt?

I tried to put the coil in but since i dont have weight from the engine i figured it would be a lil tuffer so i gonna wait till i drop it to do coils. I bought the moog 5662 wich is shorter than the stock coil so shouldnt be to hard to put in i hope. Yes rear end is a 7.5
