Hey guys I really need some advice here. I found a really really nice 1987 T type and I think I want to purchase it from the owner.. But I would need to sell my Cutlass. Should I take the risk of losing my Cutlass and the T type being sold before I can get the T type or take the leap of faith and go for the TType it has 150 Km's on it ... T Tops and the Frame is in good shape. I'm going to see it this weekend Ill keep you all updated
Really?!?! You even have to ask this question?!?! Come on homie,IT'S A T-TYPE WITH T-TOPS!!! sell the cutty!!! I'd try and work something out with the owner, explaining what youre wanting to do and see if he/she will give you some kind of time frame unless he/she is advertising it,I'd say the seller would work with you?good luck!!! how much you gonna try to get out of your cutty?
YG, have you actually seen the car for yourself just yet? From the photos that you've posted, it looks like its a GN. Is it really a T type? I know that it looks and sounds really tempting, but I'd at least wait until you can see it for yourself, and verify that its what you're looking for. I know you don't want to let it slip by, I've been there, but remember, patience does pay off, you will find the car that you're looking for. Good luck.
Well, if I were you (and I'm not) and I were presented this opportunity, i would probably go for the Buick. What the heck, why not? You only live once, and you can't spend your whole life deciding what you want to do, sometimes you just gotta do it, for better or worse. In this case, i personally think it would be for the better. And right now, a T-top 1987 T-type with a turbo is sounding a lot cooler than a V-6 Cutlass Hardtop.
Do your homework first. Your Cutlass is VERY clean and by the look of the images, that Buick has been repainted and is missing the correct badging. Many of the cars get the shyt pounded out of them. If the BRF trans has issues, it will be very expensive to correct. Are there any engine codes set? Does the car have Alky injection? Other mods that someone may have made to increase performance? All good questions to ask before making an offer. If it is a clean Buick T type or GN I would go for it considering the price is right. BTW, if this one passes you by, don't get too upset about it. They are often for sale on the Turbo Buick forum.
Every week your about to buy a new car it seems bro .. .think it was Regal first, then El Camino and now a Regal again  I think you got a great car for a great price to start with and should delete your kijiji bookmark. Your cutty is super clean and you can do a lot to it with out spending a lot.
Keep the cutlass your car looks super clean!!the gn looks like it would need alot of work to make it look as clean as yours.unless your getting it at a really goooood price.
That could be a WE4 because it has a grey interior but GN bumpers and blackout trim. You would have to check the trunk sticker, if it's still in place, to verify. Turbo Buicks will always be more desirable than other Gbodies. Don't count on selling your car quickly in this market to pay for that one. I assume you mean 150,000km? I'm concerned with all of the cardboard and what looks like a big oil or trans leak. Mechanical repairs cost $$$ on these turbo 6's. How is the body work? Rust in the quarters, floors, or t-top area? What is the asking price?
