They don't make reproduction anything for the LS....:blam:

Now, why is that? The LS came in more color choices, including many two-tones. I like my LS better than a SS. I see lots of SSs for sale, but very few LSs. My guess is that people were converting the LS to the SS, so the need for SS parts. If there were more demand, we would see LS parts too. All I know is that I like my LS, and the funny thing is that I have seen another just like it in the same color scheme just a few miles away.

Well I figured I would start a thread with all the things I am doing to the Monte. The more I play/work on these Chevys the more I wish I bought a Ford...
This is how I found her sitting there for 10 years according to the state inspection.

Mine's been off the road for over 21 years. My fuel tank is in better condition than yours was. Yours looks great now, but judging from mine, you have the colors reversed on the tank and support strap. I have what must be black paint in sections of the back and side of the tank, and the straps are galvanized steel with only a little rust in spots. So, I gave you a creative award!

Not much going on I turned it around to work on the drivers side and got a little present in the mail today.

Also tried to mount the SS trunk spoiler but after playing with it for about 2 hours mocking it up checking marking the holes and rechecking.

I am afraid to drill a hole and screw it up...........:blam:

Don't be scared it's only metal

Cover the spoiler area of the deck lid with tape put clay or wet paint on the spoiler at the mount points and set it in place and push down to mark the tape. Remove the spoiler and drill the holes you got this

Yes I layed down about 5 layers of tape to make the indentations in it.

But the Monte spoiler sits half on the top and half on the back of the deck lid so it has to be just right.
