Hello i got a chance to pick up a 1LE sway bar which the guy says its 36mm. I have the f41 sway bar which i measured at 1.25 in. So would the 1LE sway bar work on my car and is it a worthwhile swap?

I,m not sure of the rate but if yours currently is 1.25" that would make it a 49 mm which maybe the 1le is soild and the other isnt but I would think they would be comparable because there both firm handling packages

It will work on your car used with matching bushings/hardware. It's a hollow bar, if I'm not mistaken. Good find. I've passed them up at the junkyard years ago...wish I hadn't. Good find.

Definitely worth the swap. The 1LE bar measures 1 7/16' and is hollow. Its a direct bolt-in swap. I've got this bar on my car and there is a definite improvement in handling over the 1.25' bar. Replace the end links and bushings with urethane when you do the swap.

I am not convinced that the hollow bar is any benefit compared to a slightly smaller solid bar.

Instead of retyping, about 3/4 down on the first page : viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14031&start=0&hilit=hollow

Is this for racing or a daily driver car with some handling? I am intending on dropping my car about 2in with some better handling. I will be using the moog 5662 springs if this makes a difference. How much would you pay for a 1LE bar? I am upgrading my brakes, bushings, balljoints etc.. as well or when money allows it.
