Just wondering if anybody would know the dimensions of 2" drop springs that you have installed, mainly the free length and the wire diameter. I'm looking at a set that a guy bought off of ebay as a 2" drop kit but there is no info or anything on these springs??.....the rears look way too short to me. Rears are 9.5" freelength and the fronts are 13" freelength. The stock rears are 16" freelength so thats why its looking a little weird to me. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've been on that site before, good info for sure. The rear springs I'm looking at fall outside any of the moog parts, the wire dia. is about 0.63 and the freelength is 9.5" which is way shorter than any of those stock springs. I was just hoping someone had ordered a set of aftermarket 2" drop springs recently with some dimensional info on them.

with a wire diameter of .063 your spring rate is going to be well over 200 lbs and probably close 300 lbs....are you putting a 5th wheel in the trunk?

yes, pulling a 30ft'er with tipouts.....

this is why I'm questioning these coils, they are really short with a large wire. Might end up a 2" drop but severely stiff which I don't want. Thats why I was hoping to compare these with someone that has purchased a set of 2" drop springs to see if they are way off or not. I'm guessing they're not what I want

those springs would be stiffer than what we ran on a circle track car. If you look at the moog high performance springs the highest rear spring rate they have is less than 150 lbs...

and those springs your looking at.....do they have a pig tail on both ends?

here's a couple of Moog springs you might be interested in, the stock height of a G body rear is about 10.25

Part # 5413 load height 8.50 spring rate 167

Part # 5409 load height 7.50 spring rate 143

My measurement of the diameter included the p-coat, shouldn't be thicker than about 10thou on the dia. which would make them about 0.62....still hectic. The rears do have pigtails on both ends, yes.

Thanks, I'll check out those moog numbers.

if you looking for new shocks I just installed Afco's on my GP and they work real nice..I had KYB's (Gas A Just) and never liked the "a just" part. Too unpredictable.

I have the stock mounted 1020 extra heavy valving (#7) up front and the 1030 medium valving (#5) for the rear. I running Eibach springs but I'm going to switch out the rear springs cause the Eibachs rear springs are progressive so I'll be dropping is some constant rate springs.
