hi.thanks for info .the link i looked at said to push tab and push adjuster all the way toward fire wall then push gas pedal to wide open throttle.my question is do i hold tab while i push gas pedal or do i just floor gas pedal thanks .
just floor it. the tab is only for setting it back to "zero". also, if you can have an assistant look and make sure that the throttle blades are actually opening all the way. sometimes the pedal/cable won't hit WOT.

Sean you need to put some pics of those rides in your photos. 8)
I have had four 200-4rs from an 87GN, 84Ttype, 87 442, & 88 Cutty. The 88 Cutty did not shift into OD at WOT but the other three did. With 3.42 & 3.73 gears 26.0 & 28.0 tires both using 5,200 WOT shifts they hit OD at 118 & 116 mph.

Here is a teaser of my 73 Century. Stock Buick 350 with a good tune up, I am using this 8.5:1 engine in my twin turbo car till I get the bugs worked out then I will swap in the good Buick 350 with all forged lower end. I did add some ported heads and single plane intake to the 73 engine so that it would be close to the same tune required as the good engine which is also 8.5:1. The Turbo car is in the paint shop so I will have new pics of it soon.
My daily driver is a 88 Caddy with a 307 and 2004R and it does not shift to overdrive at WOT either. My point is that only the 2004R has the ability to shift to overdrive at WOT in stock form. I know the valve body is different on the GN and 442 trans, but I thought the governor was in control of the WOT shifts. ****EDIT**** I swapped in the GN governor and my 88 2004R trans now shifts at 5500 at WOT to 4th gear.
