2006 GMC Sierra - Preservation

Sealed for 10....probably more. In 2007 I used the same tar and oil mixon my 1997 VW Jetta - 11 years later the rust appears to be stopped. In other words the chassis is in fantastic shape. My Son has the VW now and plans to do a 2.0 16V swap good for 7500 RPM, no boost, all motor.

The first stage of rust treatment - acetone thinned auto trans fluid. The pic shows how it penetrates gaps. It shows the rear frame plastic bed spacer - I lifted it to show how my mixture penetrated the gap. Also there was flaky rustproofing that the mixture had found it's way behind.

Flipped the box - looks bad but is only surface rust.
