right on! i seen your video on utube that will be a nice clean runner! 8)
also will my driveshaft be ok? just wondering because its a 4in"al.
when i bought my 8.5 rearend i had to shortin by 1 inch.and the price at the driveline
service was $275 to shorten my stock one or i could purchase rebuilt al. for $400 out da door.
yeah...that youtube video was my first ever...still cracks me up everytime i watch it. If your driveshaft worked with the th350, it should work with the th2004r, because even though they have diff mounting locations, they are almost identical in overall length and spline count. Heres a link that is pretty interesting and often debated.....

If you already have a youtube vid, you can simply copy and paste the link in the post...or you can add it to your signature like i did. check the posting guidelines on the homepage for how to's on that.

Welcome aboard, Chief!
Nice wagon, and nice choice of colors. You could try Iceman (Rick Fisher) for your X-member. I have one of his old type X-members that look identical to the G-Force unit. He no longer makes them. However, he now makes a tubular unit. Here's the link. http://www.maliburacing.com/iceman/ He makes quality parts.
You might need the left side frame extension as well, which is a bolt on piece as Bill mentioned.

thx jack! i will check that out.

You're welcome, buddy. Gotta keep all your options open. I don't think Jeg's makes, or carries a X-member for the TH 400/ 200-4R. I bought one of the original Iceman TH400/ 200-4R X-members from Iceman Rick years ago in anticipation of putting a 200-4R in my wagon. I almost sold it a while back, I'm glad I didn't. I still have a 200-4R that's waiting to get built... Soon, I hope. :|

Well, dont know if ur still lookin for Ideas. This is what i did 2 days ago for my 81 wagon/200-4R install.
marked it, pulled it, chopped the center out, bolted back in, made templates, cut metal and square tube, tack welded, pulled it, welded it up, slapped it in.
Made it with clearance to pull the trans pan, and rear mount.
took me all dam day but...

Hey, whatever it takes. As long as it's strong and it won't fold up, you're golden.

Welcome aboard! Cool looking wagon.

Iceman Members are top notch. Got one in my monte, great piece of work.
