275's in the front. Who's done it and what the scoop?

I figured you'd be the one to know if anyone since you sell frame notch kits and suspension stuff. 😮

Speaking of which I'm thinking about ordering the stage 2 handling kit, there's a thing on your site for coupon or promo codes, do we get any kind of discount for being members on here?

Yes, we know how to build a G Body, lol. This is a post for you guys and creating content. These forums are fading away slowly and no one is even noticing. We are trying to help GP403 and the G Body community keep this one alive.
Call the shop to place your order and mention this forum.

I did it. Wasn't worth it in my case. If I wanted the front traction I would go with a stickier tire.

It road hunted, rubbed the frame at full lock and sat flush to the outside of the car. 3" spacer on stock brakes and 275/40/17 BFG's and 17x8.5 c5 wheels.

I have 245/45/17's now on 17x8's and am much happier on a road car.

Will do. I'm trying to get everything together soon. I just ordered a bunch of stuff off Jegs, summit, and speedway, but your suspension kits seem like a better deal than the ones available through those places.

Me 😁 You must run tall upper balljoints to improve the camber curve so they won't rub on the inner fender.
I'm running 275/35/18's on all four corners. Using RideTech front suspension (a-arms, bump steer kit, and HQ adjustable coilovers) wheels are 18x9.5" with 5.25" backspacing. Note I'm also running Blazer spindles which supposedly pushes the front end out a little too. Mine rides better than with the cut springs i used to have, doesn't wander or jerk like it used to now that the bump steer is gone. Made it much more enjoyable to drive, and drive hard.

I have 245-50-17 on the 4 corners..I find the steering components don't last as long with the wider tires so I wonder what effect a 275 tire will have

275/40/17 all around. 79 cutlass calais, stock springs and steering linkage. Iroc steering gear with blazer steering knuckles and c5 front brakes. Tires are mounted on 17x9 4th gen camaro or firebird rims (i've run both as well as american racing torque thust m wheels) using a 1.5" spacer up front. Stock alignment, caster at +3.5 and camber at +.5. Only tire rub is on full suspension compression and its only the left front tire. I put this set up under my G wagon too that my son drives. No problems and love it.
