My 79 elcamino has a 3.3 liter v6 in it with the automatic trans and i was just wondering if anyone makes headers/ intakes for those little motors. Not really interested in the performance just the fuel economy. It already gets great mileage but i can tune in even more with a better exhaust and intake then what came stock. I do want to keep my stock 2 brrl carb. im not interested in swapping in any different motors or any of that

if you mean a 3.8 v6? some people have slapped on 4 barrel intakes for a buick 4.1(and 4 barrel carbs) and i just happen to have one available, an aluminum one. if your interested pm me

I think he means the 3.3 liter (200 cubic inch) Chev V6. Headers for an S10 with the 4.3 V6 may work, or if you could find a set of the tubular exhaust manifolds for a 4.3 V6, that might work as well. An overdrive transmission swap would probably be helpful with fuel economy as well.

Yeah the overdrive would help, however im a purist for this one for some reason and dont want to change anything major. You can tell how clogged up that little motor is, it cant breath through those crappy manifolds and the intake design is terrible. I might take that off and port match it and get it better that way. Like i said no performance expected just gonna help it out a little and it would just flat look cool... And yes 3.3 liter 200 cubic inch. Ill look up those s-10 headers
