Try it! I have only had my license for a month, I did my first one tonight on the way home from work 😀

With the right setup I'm sure you can but the real question is 'why bother'?

Throw a little oil under the rear tires and I'm sure it will spin them but like doublev said "why bother"?

I do them all the time with my 3.8 cutty. It isn't too hard to spin tires in a RWD car. It's not very "fasts and furious" though with the little 3.8 haha

unlike everyone else. I love doing burn outs. but you have to be willing to accept the problems that can come from it.

ive burnt up a few tires here and there in my day.

X3 why bother beating your car and chance breaking something when its not built to do that?

I agree with both of you.
I like wheel spin and tire smoke as well but I just can't stand to watch someone sit there and "brake torque" something for two minutes. Literally makes me uncomfortable. So whenever I do a burnout, as soon as I get the tires spinning my foot comes off the brake. I won't miss the "wasted" rubber but I'd sure miss a wasted drivetrain, as would my bank account. 😳

Now as far as actually doing this:
I had a hard enough time mastering this with my vin Y 307 and 2:56 gears. There was only one way I could do it. Find a wet or dirty spot on the pavement or look for a road with excessive tar or blacktop. Check for traffic. Foot on the brake. First gear. Quickly ease into the throttle. (If you go too fast with it you might just kill the engine, but don't take forever with it either!) That's how I did it. I've only done one with my current setup which includes a different carb/distributor and larger exhaust. It took a bit less effort then but most all of my burnouts have been with stock parts.
