303 rocket

"Rocket" is a very loose term used by laymen. It was, at best, a marketing ploy. There are only 2 or 3 true rockets (w-30 455, ramrod 350, and...?)
So loose in fact, some people call any bop engine a rocket. its true.
Yeah, olds had the rocket name for a while on the air cleaners and in advertisements... any olds before 74 could be considered a "rocket" engine, or at least one from that era. Best year would be '70 of course. Best heads, compression, etc.

As long as it is a second generation Olds V8, all Olds 260 through 455, it is a bolt in. But your A/C brackets need to be lengthened due to the taller height of the 455, headers can be a challenge for that reason also. Otherwise everything else swaps over.
