I just got a 1984 Chevy Impala in a trade deal and I was wondering if this car came with a goodwrench crate engine or if goodwrench engine are only bought as replacemnets. Im not sure but I know that engine runs very very nice and is clean on the inside.

I got in touch with the previous owner and he said that the motor was replaced about a year and a half by a local dealership. I want to fix the car but dont have time thinking about selling motor and overdrive transmission and crushing the rest

If the frame isn't too badly bent, just throw a front clip on it and sell it. It looks pretty clean...
You'll make more selling it than you would parting it.
Worst case scenario, you don't sell it right away and are forced to drive a clean, realiable old car. 8)

I guess i don't get it. Are those rare in your part of the country? There's obvious frame damage. Quite a bit of body damage. The dash is wasted. The door panel is apart. It looks like a base model (vinyl seats, no PW, etc). In the NW you can buy running, driving, unwrecked Caprices nicer than that for under $1K all day long. You'll spend twice that to fix what you have if you do the work yourself. Part it -n- crush it.
