alright, i just picked up a batch of new parts for my 305 to replace old used stuff i put some of this engine together with. havent installed anyhing yet. i picked up a edelbrock performer eps manifold and a holley 600cfm vaccum secondary carb. will these work well together with the edelbrock performer cam thats in the block? im just askin cause i should thought about it before, but i figure its not to lat to ask if i aint got any of installed. thanks.

I have an EPS intake and eddy 600 on my 305.. no cam though. Your combo should work fine.

hmmm dont feel like throwin a few bucks together for a 350? looks good man..itll be a nice cruiser...

It should be fine. The Performer cam is weak even for a 305, so I see no problems so long as you set up the carb right. So long as you do not have the awful late (87+) 305 heads the engine should pick up everywhere and not loose anything down low. I would also consider a set of shortie headers or a cheapie solution: 350 TPI exhaust manifolds. Stock 305 manifolds have a 1 7/8 in exit size but the 350 TPI F body pieces are 2 1/4. The rest depends on what your exhaust looks like after the manifolds.
