I know the blocks are the same but What i want to know is are the bracket layouts the same? I was told they are not.

There were different setups for different years and different applications. A 350 with no AC that came on an old late 60's Cutlass say, would have a different bracket setup than an 80's 307 with AC and AIR pump, BUT they all interchange. You can run that 60's bracket setup on your 80's 307 and vice versa.

I was thinking about this just yesterday (after eyeing the March setup for a while) and emailed March about my 66 Olds 330. I know the small blocks should all generally be the same physically, outside, but wanted to contact them, just to make sure that their 350 setup would work on the 330 before I dropped $700.00....I was surprised when they emailed me back and said plainly that it would not work on the 330? They gave no technical reason, and needless to say I was surprised!

Their reply: "
Hi Frank, as far as we know it won't convert to a 330.

:wtf:

It will fit.

Water pump...had a brain fart there, since the March isn't a serpentine syatem...duh.
I ended up buying the Ultra series set. Installation was a snap. March shorted me one spacer but it's on the way. I have to get a power steering pump, as the front 4 hole mounting on the stock one is correct, but the Marxh pulley uses a keyway...March references a pump from a 70 Impala for the design. So the 350 kits do work on the 330 and would imagine the 307 as well.
