307 parts?

The Olds 307 is not worth playing with. An Olds 350 or 403 bolts right in using the same mounts and brackets and will give you a much better platform to modify. Plus, those engines have pretty good aftermarket support, while the "economy" Olds 260/307 V8's do not due to some major design shortcomings.

All Edelbrock small block Olds manifolds will bolt to the 307. Whether they will help or not depends on what state of modification your 307 is in. The late 80s motors with 7A heads will not be helped by an intake swap. The Edelbrock heads will bolt to a 307, but again unless you regularly run at 6,000 RPM, that motor will never move enough air to use them.

I will also add that a larger engine can be done cheaper than heads/intake/ etc. to a 307 and will net a much bigger power gain. You should be able to find a 350 or 403 for under $500 if you look for a while. In fact, there was a complete 403 powered 85 442 for sale on my local Craigslist for $1,000 this week!

It is my understanding that they do, with the possible exception of the manifolds. You would not want the stock 307 pieces anyways, so that is not even relevant. I have not played with an Olds engine, so I can't really speak from experience. Someone else will probably post the details.

With an Olds 350 swap, do all the accessories line up (power steering, alt, a/c, radiator hoses, etc)

All Olds small blocks are identical externally, so yes everything will line up perfectly. You can even keep the CCC system if you atleast retune the secondaries for the 350 (pull the metering rods from the 350's carb and install).

Actually, with the exception of the welded stainless manifolds used on the peanut port 7A heads on the roller cam motors, even the exhaust manifolds bolt up just fine. ALL Olds small block motors are externally identical. So long as you use the accessory brackets, water pump, and pulleys as a matched set, it's an easy bolt-on.
