Ok, finally got the engine in my garage on a stand. I was told with was taken out of a 68 442. Well, what it was "taken" from and what it is are two different things. The block is a 75-76 350 with #8 heads and a two barrel intake. Sooooo, not exactly what I thought it was. But, for the price, I'm not going to argue. Over the coming months, I'm going to be pricing stuff out and making decisions. I've read that the #8 heads are just about the worst you can get and by the time I find #5's and have them rebuilt, I'll be cheaper off getting a set of edelbrach's. As always, any and all input is appreciated. I may have to modify my original plans because is looks like "bone stock" and "budget" are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Let the Journey begin!

***Update*** This block is no longer being considered for rebuild as I stumbled across a 73 engine that was complete from carb to oil pan, included exhaust manifolds, and 350 trans when looking for parts. I have also found a set of rebuilt 7a heads, but also another engine. Please see new thread entitled "olds 350, what to do"
