307 to 403 engine swap

Th2004r will handle the power for a while.. as long as you arent super hard on it, it will live.. add an external trans cooler and a mild shift kit and youll be fine..

also you might want to look into running a 4l60e trans filter and run the trans 1 qt over... the 2004r has a lousy oil pickup design.. it wasnt meant for high hp cars..and when your beating on the car it would suck air instead of fluid burning sh*t up..
 
Thanks guys for all your input and info on this 403 transfer. I really am surprised that there aren't more Olds and or Trans Am guys using more of the 403 because of there serious potential.

I plan on having this motor put in during the winter, then have my 200r4 built up a bit to handle the new motor. I hope that my Hurst will at least see times better than 14.0's...not that I would be running it often at the track. The main thing is that I believe now it commands the respect that it truly deserves! Vrooooom!!!
