hey guys i new on here and need some help on a engine swaps. ok i have a 85 cutlass supreme with a bad olds 307 in it. i just find a olds 330 engine, and i would like to know if this motor will fit in my 85 cutlass??

Yup, but, you may need to find an earlier set of exhaust manifolds for it (if you have the cast iron ones already, you should be ok). Either that or go with headers. Make sure that 330 comes with a flywheel and harmonic balancer though.

Cosmeticlly the 330 and 307 are almost identical, both small block olds', so really it doesn't get any easier as far as swaps go, everything will pretty much bolt up the same way as the 307 (be sure to use 330 fly and balancer). Can you hear the 330 run? Generally yes they are a good engine, if you find one that has been properly maintained (which goes for any of them).

ok i have A/T trans it is a 200r4 will that work and fit on the 330 flywheel??

It will fit. The flange on the 330 crank just uses a different bolt pattern than other Olds engines, but the holes on the flexplate for the torque converter are the same.

I have been putting together my 330 for the last 3 years. (scrimp n save). It should be ready this summer. What year is the 330? The 66 has the forged crank and rods, and are highly sought after. I am putting a 200-4R behind mine as well. Nice to see someone doing the same as I, for my 87 Salon.

Good luck!

If you use the brackets from the 307, you should be able to use all the accessories on the 330.

Every 330 ever made (1964-1967) has a forged crank and rods.
