Well, were trying to find out the specs for my friends 350, and this is what we've found so far. On the drivers side on the rear of the block, we found these numbers:

10243880
J129
H41

This number can be found all around the block:

880

This number is on the front of the block:

878

These numbers and letters were found under the passenger side valve cover:

L30
14102193
38
N
A
D
K

If anyone can help us identify what these numbers/letters mean, that would be totally badass.

Im assuming your going off of a SBC. The 880 casting is a true roller cam block. with a 1 piece rear main seal. right next to the casting number on the back of the block on the driver side there is another number. It has a digit, then a 2 digit day, the a single digit years.....should like something like B269. Which would mean February 26, 1999.
The 880 casting was made from I think 95-present. If it came from a truck its more then likely a 4 bolt main, if it came from a car its probably only a 2 bolt.

Oct/12/99 GM crate 350 1.94/1.5 low budget valves some say (imitation vortecs) roller cam block...nice motor with head swap...just my opinion
