BUILD THREAD 78 Malibu 350 rocket build kind of

I had no plans on removing it I was thinking it was for A heater core anyway.
I had to go back and look at the pics of the engine to understand how you'd run both. I now see that the pump has a "Y" junction. Interesting.

Wasn't really worth wasting a good Holley for such a low compression engine.
It is actually a 3 barrel, impoved version of a Carter Thermoquad with a dual intake bolt pattern. It needs no adapter, unlike the Carter/Edelbrock carb to bolt to the stock intake. The only issues I have heard are insufficient fuel supply to the secondaries on high performance engines. Either carb will be rich on your less than 8 to 1 Olds 350 and will need leaned out.

Small update today. Just got the headers in today they went pretty good.
I'll have to look into these headers. I have a 350 SBO also. Replying to this thread so that I can be notified when it is updated. I don't know any other way to follow it.

I ended up running it like this. That short coolant hose might be an issue.

those headers are flowtech 11152FLT I think. Don't get those get the hedmans. The flow tech have issues with the flange being too close to the trans shift selector. Also

the passenger side header points towards the rear tire. But the driver's side is just fine with the dual crossmember.

I'm switching to a lokar type shifter to keep from having to cut the flange.

Yeah I wasn't really looking to hot rod that motor. I was going to do that with ls or something since they're cheaper.

Had a nova with a Eddy 750 and 455 rocket but those things have bottom end issues.
