And for my first post ............. a question for the masses. I think I found the GP (1984 - 1987) I'm looking for but I have an issue. Unless it was changed (with a 350), wickipedia does not mention a 350 only a 305 V8 yet I notice several ads touting a 350 CID engine. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Everyone claims every SBC is a 350...usually a corvette engine to boot.

If it's an '84 they might be talking about the Olds 350 diesel that was available

I think you're right. Probably not the 350D (has spark plug wires) It doesn't make sense to claim it's a 350 when IMHO a 305 is a superior engine ............ whatever. Thanks for the input.

Look on the bright side. If it is a 305 you think of it as a win. If it is a 350 then it is actually a win. You win either way even if you don't know it.
