84 el camino 350c trans not going into lock up, car was sitting for a few years rats and age took its toll on some of the wiring , I have been looking at the b&m kits to wire in the trans lock up converter one kit around$80 the other over $200 other then price what is the difference

IMO, best bet is repair the OE wiring. GM spent a lot of money engineering this stuff and designing the parameters for lockup.

This is if it is still stock, if there have been carb or distributor changes, all bets are off.

There are numerous lockup wiring diagrams on google, depends on if you want to go bare bones with a toggle switch, or full feature with a brake cutout, etc.

Most of the kits are just some wire, terminals, and a pressure switch.

wireing is bad shape cant find a good replacement harness so mods are in line such as carb and dizzy replacement also rebuilt 350 to take over for the 305 anyone have a good replacement harness ?

It is likely that a member on here has a harness. Start a thread in the 'wanted' section. Also, start a conversation with O.D. Showtime, 81Regal, L.A.X-RATED or G-boz, or Timo22. I have bought from all of them. All great guys.

Its not worth it to buy a switch kit. Look for a harness if it is stock. If not, look for a non-lockup TH350.
