Looks impressive!

What else was done to the bottom end? Two bolt or four bolt or splayed with bolts or studs? Rods stock, vortec or aftermarket H beam? Harmonic damper (The bigger the better)? Same with the valve train, what you got there?

This will make well over 500 HP at high RPMs. Was it built to take 7000 RPM?

Not sure about bottom end.. when i looked up the block it looked like it was a 4 bolt from a 1970 vette. It looks like all the valve springs are dual spring and over 1.5" they had the msd rpm limit at 7800. Ive never taken it over 6k it screams after 5k

I would agree that the engine should easily go past 7000. The .050 cam numbers would be helpful but I would think its in the area of 550 hp and should run mid to low 11's.

It should make 500hp easily when you spin it. But more info is needed to determine much beyond that.

The compression, cam, headers and intake will dictate what you have going on.

Watch the latest episode of Engine Masters - very similar info to what you're inquiring about.

Should peak about 66-6800 shift it at 7-7200.
I bet it peaks at 6800 minimum. I have those heads, but competition ported, with a smaller cam, and more cubes and mine peaked at 6700-6800. If an actual 350 and not a 383, I would bet it peaks over 7000RPM.
Keep an eye out for valve float, if it has the stock springs that those heads come with you are definitely on the edge with them and that cam... they may get funky at high RPM. I have those springs, my cam is 255/268 and 700 lift and I have brought mine to 7500RPM and 17psi of boost and the valvetrain still seemed happy.

Did you go with 3/8" pushrods?
