2100 rpm at 60 with 25" tall tire in OD. Pushing 2500 rpm at 50 towing in D with 3.42's. Town is fine, highway would suck with a 3spd.

according to wiki 82-87 pontiac gp's came w\3.08 gears in all of them.and they are a gbody style.i went looking for some here.not happening, dirt trackers got all the gbodys. i have a 2004r and at 65 am running bout 1500 rpm approx.w\2.41 gears. i get almost 19mpg.
i want 3.08 or 3.42 gears so bad i can taste it!make my 86mc get some get up and go.priced it at the shop, probably over 600.00 for a build on my rearend.but on the other hand,my nephew has a 69 nova w\a ba 350, holley dp.and i think he said 3.88 gears.hes running 3k rpm @ 55.w\a tci turbo 350 trans.there is a trade off,gas mileage or fun.

What governor are you running?

I just got my car back on the road yesterday(it shifts really fast) and I have 2.41 gears in it also for now lol. My 200-4r has a GN governor in it, I think I need to get a normal one for now untill I change the rearend out.
