3D Printed Dash Bezels

How about a smaller, neater, more clearance for everything Heater/AC box for the firewall?

Is that possible?

The biggest issues I see here are size restraints and surface finish. The width of the dash bezel is near the limit of most cheap printers. Also, the finish is very "textured" compared to injection-molded parts as it printed layer by layer.

I think it could be a good idea that I might do myself but would probably have a 3D printing service print it for me using their expensive, accurate, SLA resin printers for a nice finish.

I thought it would be cool to print plastic trim clips that are becoming hard to find. So far no one has seemed all that interested in the idea.

I wouldn't mind having a radio plate for my Pontiac dash for a DIN sized radio. I actually had to make an overlay out of a piece of plastic...it doesn't look bad though. The hole in the bezel is oversized for a large factory radio.

I was also thinking about this. Why 3D print something that can be made from sheet plastic/metal?

Definitely possible but, like I mentioned above, that will require a large 3D printer and a professional one in order to obtain a decent surface finish.
