4 speed in place of automatic

What is the process for putting a 4 speed transmission in place of a 350 turbo in an 82 cutlass

4 speed auto? You need the x-member and a shifter, I think that's it. Someone else can fill you in on the extras.
If you mean 4 speed manual, then it's a lot more complicated.
