400 Chevy question

I wonder if a broken plug is allowing raw fuel to get into the exhaust? Or perhaps a damaged or burned plug wire?
 
Because I’ve changed all the plugs and wires. New motor mounts, belts, new bolts in the steering box, and retimed the engine.
Thanks for the info and tips.

After looking at your pics l wonder if #2 spark plug is arcing against the header. I would think you should he running shorty plugs as to keep the boot away from the header. Once the spark plug boot gets hot and possible melt or burn it will arc.

Check the spark plug boot. Then wrap the spark plug boot with some type of heat shield/wrap so it can't arc on to the header.

Sorry been busy at work, we lost an coworker cause he was forging meter readings from businesses.
My father whose truck it is, put a second set of exhaust gaskets in the passenger side. He says the popping has all but stopped now. So I’m guessing that the plug was arcing off the header, but I have not verified it personally.
