442 Dilemma...maybe?

It's just a 442. It's not like it's some rare Duesenberg worth $1m. Besides, everything that made the 442 anything "special" is gone. Engine, trans, rear, gauges, etc.

Could care less bout the 442 badging. It's the t-tops that is intriguing me.

didn't the 442 have upgraded suspension as well?

Yeah. I know this one has some kind of rear air shocks(hoses go to the sides of the gas cap) and beefier rear swaybar. Not sure bout the front.

This wouldn't even be a dilemma for me.I say you take the 442 put it to the side, finish your current 442,then start on the other one.Do you have a picture of the other 442?

Have you ever owned a T-top car crucial118? If not, keep in mind the extra creaks and sqeaks they have along with poorer handling. Just something to consider.

I'm no fan of a Chevy engine in a Cutlass, and one in a 442 orHurst Olds makes it even worse.

Had a t-top camaro when I was 17 in highschool and loved it. Never paid any attention, at that age, to creaks and squeaks, but loved the feeling and look of being with the t-tops off.

Sorry bout the chevy motor in the olds car. Hope you can get over it, but I came across a good deal on the motor and it performs like a charm(fuel injection is the sh*t). So it will go into whatever I decide to keep. 😀

I'd have to say go for it only for the same reason of t-tops. Granted I would never get rid of my malibu for another car, but I would more than willingly part with my truck for another camaro with t-tops. Nothing like cruising down the road with those off.
