I do not see the blower relay but a socket that looks like one plugged into it. would it have been connected to A/C wiring and maybe got removed? and yes we are keeping the motor and A/C parts for future/

Should be a little silver box... like this one on mine, passenger side... near my coil

Does the blower work in all of the lower speeds but just not on high? If so then you need to plug the large red wire running from the driver's side wiring harness over towards the passenger side back in.

wow your set up looks good. Is that a complete rocket racing top end kit set up? That is are hopes for next year for now we still need to get the car painted and body parts put on. And thanks for all your help, I went out and looked for a plug with a large red wire and it was coming from the drivers side in a harness. So I found a harness on the passenger side it plugged into and bingo it now works. Sure is a lot of extra wiring when you remove A/C and all the emission stuff.

Glad to see you got it sorted out. I love to see good looking engine bays like you both have especially when its not just another chromed over sbc. Rocket raceing heads, very kool. What are your goals for this car?

mostly to have as much fun with it spending time with my 19 year old son, its not gonna be a strip car. nice paint job, go to some cruise nights here and there. nice stereo system take it out on nice days to cruise around. And the kid will be driving it on nights gear heading with his buddies. My dad never helped me so I want my kid to have more of car than I did at his age. Oh and we are putting a cowl hood on it. We both think they look awesome I will post pics now and then.

307's don't have to be boat anchors, mine runs fine for a mild, small displacement engine.

+.030 Comp cam that's something like 218/222 @.050" with .473 lift, don't recall exactly, little lumpy idle but far from radical. Heads are 5A shaved .012", ported and matched to heads and intake, polished with 2.00" intake valves, roller rockers and Performer intake. Still running computer controlled Q-jet and HEI with a bunch of initial lead. Fully balanced rotating assy. I'm still running stock exhaust manifolds with 2.5" pipes to a high flow y-pipe to 3"single into a high flow Magnaflow cat 3" in/out to high flow y-pipe using 2.5" pipes into Magnaflow straight throughs with 2.25" tail pipes. Mine runs low 14's mid nineties on street tires with too much spin.
I would never have spent that money on a 307 but I'm glad the p.o. did.

For some ideas on a simple (bolt on) and inexpensive cowl ($149) made functional check out my pics. Its basically the scoop they put on the 83/84 Hurst Olds gbody, so it sort of looks factory Olds. Some sell you the whole hood or you have to bondo & mold into your hood etc and cost a lot more money.

Thanks man! No, I just have the R.R. valve covers! My cyl heads are Edelbrock RPMs and the intake is a Professional Products crosswind... But I'm glad you got it figured out, I hate wiring/electrical problems so I was feeling your pain, good to hear it was an "easy" fix! That car is gonna be so much more fun! I know mine was/is! Good luck with the rest of the build, let me know if you need any advice, especialy when you get to the bodywork part(thats my thing!). 😀

Also, some thing to keep an eye out for in the boneyard (on a small block in your case) if you are definitly not gonna run the a/c in the car to clean up the installation a bit, is the non-A/C front brackets. It moves the alternator to the passenger side and makes it all look more ballanced and lets you actualy see/get to your power steering pump! Although, I mainly used the lower brackets and I modified on of those cheap mr. gasket chrome SBCheby universal alternator bracket from advanced auto because the stock upper wouldn't clear my valve covers! Here's my setup now:

I noticed your alternator was moved on the 1st pick and was curious how you did it. Did you have anything done to your heads or are they right out of the box? I believe where I have the eddlebrock performer rpm intake manifold they will bolt right up. I know they say they are for 403 and 455 but I was told they will work with my small block if I use an electric fuel pump. As far as my body work I have a OEM passenger quarter panel/ rocker panel/ 2 doors from Texas to get put on. The drivers side quarter panel and rocker panel have already been installed from the previous owner. Wish he had put both sides on at the same time so I didn't have to deal with it.Trying to find a guy in my area thats reasonable has been tough and so far no luck. I'm no body guy and have never painted. trying to find a guy who works out of his garage or something like that. Shop prices with there overhead is more than I can afford right now. Do you know anyone in the south west suburbs of Chicago like that? I also notice you run a holly carb. Did you ever try eddelbrock carbs> I have a Holly 750 cfm that needs rebuilding but bolted up the eddelbrock as it was on the engine and I didn't have to mess with it to get it to run.
