496 Stroker Big block "blue smoke"

"alot of blue smoke" is a relative statement and how long did he run the engine?..it could be as simple as the rings havn't seated yet
 
could be piston rings or valve seals. when yall installed the piston rings did yall gap them correctly and install the in the correct position to the wrist pin centerline

Well my friend is hard headed and he took it to some guy to build it for him . Thats what happens when you get lazy . So now i have take it apart to see whats up :puke:
 
If some guy built it why not just take it back to him before you do anything or he may claim that whatever you did caused the damage to protect his a$$

yeah, if i paid someone to build it and it started smokin i would for sure take it back to them. call that guy to have him come look at it. im sure if he builds engines he will have a compression guage and leak down kit.
 
Well this is an issue that might have happened, If your carb is running too rich, your rings will not seal (been there done that) so you may need to check your plugs to see if they are fouled with fuel too...then bring your buddy over to your place to check out the smoke then kick him in the nuts!
