You are right about those brakes. The way I understand it is the titanium cap is a option they offer.

So, what is this "cap"? I Googled "Brembo titanium cap", and the only things I saw were titanium bleeders and pad retention pins.....
Just something that goes on the piston to keep the heat out of the pistons and therefor the fluid.

The other brake company PFC that snitched is now denying they had anything to do with it. Problem is that guy gave an interview already and people are calling BS. lol.
If the fluid will take the heat it's a useless mod. Lame way to get DQ'd, but a way lamer way to decide to cheat assuming it was intentional.
Circle track racing is all about playing in the gray area and trying to make the rules work to your advantage. And yes there is always drama around it but that’s how it goes. There are more ways to cheat or should I say bend the rules than you could ever realize and 99% of them will benefit a car even if it’s in a very minor way.
