Ah that would explain the MPG.

BUT it does not explain the power loss. It should still run like a bat outta hell with no vacuum advance. Check your weights and see what you find. Maybe they are binding.

You can lose ALOT of power if your curve isnt dialed in correctly. Maybe as much as 50 ft-lbs.

i just ordered a usb/rs232 convertor. i'm gonna program my msd next week. i've heard they are difficult, how should i program my timing?

Program what?

You havent mentioned you have a programmable box... Only the pro billet distributor.

Ok, well since you wont tell me, I looked at your pictures, and you have bigger issues.

It looks like you are running an MSD 6AL-2 Programmable. If thats the case, then you need to lock out your distributor to be able to use it. If you just bought it for the capacitive discharge, then you wasted alot of money.

Yea it will not"simulate" vaccum advance, but you can have vacuum advance. You just need an input.

No one is gonna be able to help you if you dont know what you have and dont tell us. We can go round and round guessing. No ones knows what cam you have, what the timing is, or what "rich" means.

was it a city or a racetrack? because that aint pretty

hey guys, looking at the edelbrock website, i found out that the performer RPM cam should only be used with 1.5:1 rockers and 1.6:1 rockers are not recommended..
...........i have 1.6:1 :?
can this partially be responsible for the crazy MPG im getting and the bad performance?
i still have my old stamped roller rockers laying somewhere but my current rockers have 7/16 studs while the old ones need the 3/8 studs
i hope u guys can tell me something about this because i can only contact edelbrock by phone wich isn't easy if you're on the other side of the world.
