say no to pro touring restomods! It's already an auto slushbox, fight the paddle shift urge!
My car is far from Pro-touring. I am looking at things from a "I like it, so I may do it" point of view. I like technology. I don't like car payments though...

Ok buddy, believe what you want if it makes you sleep well at night. Don't let the post count fool you...I am far from a Noob when it comes to building G bodys. I have owned 5 since 2002. Starting with a 79 Monte, 84 Pontiac Grand Prix, 83 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham, 84 Monte Carlo SS and 86 Monte Carlo SS T Top. That doesnt include the D body and Square Body trucks Ive built. I am also a 10 year vehicle maintenance craftsman with a background in paint and body, welding and fabrication, and general purpose maintenance....You did not change my mind. You simply told yourself, you changed my mind. I really don't classify my cars as one strict genera. They have elements from all kinds of styles and builds.

As far as the 4L60 and 4L60E topic. The "E" designates it as an electronically controled transmission. The 4L60 was the name GM switched to in the early 90's or so from 700R4. Why they did this, I have no Idea. They are both operated by TV cable. They both have the same gear ratios they have similiar internals but the 4L60 has slightly beefier internals than the early 700R4's. The "E"just took it a step further and eliminated the TV cable and it runs off of a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and computer.
