73 Monte Rear End into 87 Regal

I'm going to check out a, hopefully, 8.5 inch rear end out of a 73 Monte Carlo. I'm wondering if this will be an easy swap into my 87 Regal. Thanks for any tips or advice.

Not an easy swap. You will need aftermarket upper control arms, and IIRC the width is too wide for the G-body, so you may have to either have the tubes shortened and new axles purchased, or you might be able to get by with new wheels with more offset in the rear.
