I was wondering if 78-80 Monte Carlos came with closeout panels that close up the gaps between the header panel and the core support piece that the hood latch attaches to, kind of like what i outlined in these photos i saw in a build thread. ( Thanks 454GrandPrix!!)

Did any other G-Body cars get these panels? I just want to clean up the engine bay and make it as original i can in the process and I'm sure it will help to direct air through the radiator better.
I guess the whole point of this thread is to see if anyone has any to sell?

EDIT: i couldnt get photos to load so i added a link

I've never seen any panels like that before on 3rd Gen montes. A 78 to 80 GP has pieces that may come close to working since it has a flat nose on it.

I've never seen them on any G body and when I saw them on 454grandprix's build thread I assumed they were installed on some g bodies and over the years they were removed and thrown away... so thats why I was wondering if they were installed on any cars besides GPs. It seems like Pontiac did a better job on these cars.

The only other G body that got them that I know of is a monte ss

I've seen them on an '80 cutlass. but it wasn't full width. but it did direct more air through the radiator.

I did some research to see if the Monte SS panels would fit and it looks like it won't, the height of the hood hook latch is different I believe. But I'm positive the GP one in the photos will fit a 3rd gen MC since the nose is similar, also the GP panels changed from 78-80 to 81-87 I found one from an 86 and it wasn't long enough to fill the gaps. Does anybody have any from a 78-80 GP they are willing to part with?
