The good thing bout' the 78-80 regal is you can actually get some use out of the useless haynes manuals. All the info is mostly for those years and earlier. They did a terrible job of covering 81-87 (3pages of updates).

The tail lights are one of my favorite parts of the '78.
i can make the front how i want but ill have to get creative with the back, i like the slash of light on the side but looking directly from the back it looks very plain to me. i think the newer ones look very muscular and thats the look im going for

The tail lights for '79 had a verticle divider in the middle of the lens, and the ones for '80 had a horizontal divider. You could paint them body color, or chrome. There's examples of each on Ebay right now if you wanna see what I'm talking about.

Just a thought.

Not directly. They will bolt on, but there will be gaps on the sides because the earlier cars have wrap around bumpers. So you'd have to make custom filler panels between the fenders and bumpers.

ok good that wont be a problem. i might be able to just cut the signal lights into my existing bumper and paint it body color

Find a bumper for an '80, they are the wrap-around style and have the turn signals in there already. There was one on Ebay the other night.

If you want mroe of a "muscle" look, I have a spoiler that I was going to use for my 79 that I'd sell. Gave it a good look, but I shaved too much and it kinda contradicted the more smoothed out look I am going for. (And it didnt' mesh at all with the truspoke wires and whitewalls, lol)

PM me and I'll shoot you a pic or 2
