Body bushings arent that bad of a job. This past weekend I did them on my cutlass. It was a walk in the park with a 2 post lift. I also completely cleaned the frame and gave it 5 coats of chassis black paint. Nice ride tho!

Not bad if you have a lift. I had never done body bushings and I was using floor jacks and jack stands. Not bad once I got my stride though. If there is ever a next time, it should go much, much better for me.

Thanks to all who replied.

I am thinking about keeping the quarter stick that is currently in the car, ITS GROWING ON ME! HA I bought the Z gate because it was cheaper than the Hammer or the Mega shifter. I have put a Mega in just about everything I have built so far. Just really want to change things up a bit. I'll either return the Zgate and get a Mega or just keep whats in it.

Started my gauge install here are a few pics of the progress so far. Planned on having this completed this weekend, but had a few unexpected non-car issues popup. But heres what I have so far.

I have the dash panels painted and ready for the gauges. (Pics later)
I have all the senders and the hall effect installed
I just need to build the harness for the gauges in the dash
Run the remaining wires and then bask in the glory of a newly restyled dash!

installed and done

Different angle

I have a ton of build pics if you want them

EDIT** I still need to install the headlight switch. all the little clips are broken and some kind of sticky substance was used. I need a dash bad. Anyone know where I can get a new one? Not a cover but the actual dash.

Greetings mylilboo & all; This is turning out nice and compact, much better though out than my add a gauge method. After I added the oil pressure gauge & seeing the difference between the OE and Autometer. My OE gauge reads about 10 to 25 PSI over the the Autometer (GM quality control)? If I had room (the two lower positions in the cluster) I'd like a differential temp gauge & wide band A/F. Check out my electric fuel pressure in the OE tach-clock position. Anyway I wanted to say "that a boy well though out & keep up the Good work". Bob Jr.

Thank you. I still have quite a few more issues to work out, but it's coming along. I do hate the multi-piece dash/bezel/instrument cluster in these cars. I miss the one trick ponies from the c10s. I have built several different renditions of this set up on that style it was a cake walk. This car has proven to be a pain in the *ss! Never had to build one in sections like this. Looking into building a custom dash and console for this very reason. Also looking at my options for a ready built piece from Mikes, but at three hundred and the generic look. Not sure if its the route for me.

You have a great looking interior by the way.

Greetings mylilboo & all; Thanks for the kind words. The best things I like about my interior is the Recaro seats & the relationship of the seats to the steering wheel. Ya I know my seats are 35 years old, but back in 1979 they were the best seat you could buy & they look Ok with the new leather skins. And the matched stitching make them look almost OE. Keep up the good work, Bob Jr.

PS: Are you Mr. Wilson? Does Dennis live next door? And my mind goes to Dennis feeding the bad guy beans!
