just as the title says im removing the olds 350 and putting in a chevy 454. what type of fitment issues will i have with the motor mounts/frame mounts and also what about headers...i know there is a specific model for these but just wondering what you think. im new to the g bodys as i mostly deal with F bodys but this is my buddies car.

Get the stock frame and block mounts for a 305 car and that BBC will drop right in.

There's a few companies that are making headers for the BBC swap.

so im assuming im going to be doing some welding on the frame mounts. as for the headers which ones do you reccomend

No welding necessary...

A BBC will drop right in on the stock, unmodified 305 mounts. It's that easy.
Once you've removed the Olds mounts, the 305 mounts will bolt right on to the frame, as there are already holes there for them.

sweet this is great...now i just have to figure out which headers will work. any suggestions that maybe you have used?

ok is there anything that should be removed when trying to put in the 454 as im having a fitment issue. it seems to be catching on the AC unit and im about to tear that all off. is there a way around that or do i need to remove that to get it in.

If you're running tall valve covers, it will hit.
Short covers will clear just fine.

grr ok i have taken off the ac as i had short covers and something wasent right. i mounted the motor mounts as per this

. i used motor mounts that i got off of a chevy van as 305 and 350 motor mounts are the same. next are some pics of the troubles im having. i can get one motor mount in with a bolt but the other one will not fall into place.

You need G-body block mounts.

Those look like tall valve covers to me.

oh...i thought i could use the same motor mounts from the 350 chevy to mount up on this but if that is the case do ytou have any to sell?
