I'm beginning to think if you didn't order something special- you got red! It's actually called Carmine and it sucks. I had a Firebird that color and hated it forever. And I'm still wondering how to snag that car. I need a lot of the stuff it has.

I just don't have the space and am about neck deep in projects right now, or I'd flatbed it home tomorrow. I think what I'll do is contact the junkyard and let him know that if it doesn't move and gets parted out then I have a laundry list of stuff I want. I see Brockton Auto on Craigslist all the time and he gets some cool cars that I assume move quickly. I googled his location and it is pretty full so I don't think he will hang on to it forever. So here's the challange- if ya want it or know someone that wants it-by all means grab it. It deserves to be reborn. But if it's still sitting there and gets parted, I'm like a vulture in a tree watching. That's fair enough,I think.

The car is an incredible find. I'd like to see it go to a good home and brought back to functional condition.
I certainly would love to own it. It would make an awesome sleeper.

Anyone buy this car yet? I would love to have it, it is just too far away but it sure deserves to be saved for posterity.

Dave

It's sad that good cars do wind up at junkyards, but in this economy people aren't buying cars like they used to and it's also easier just to sale a car to a junkyard than dealing with the hassle of people just looking for a work car. I wonder how much the junkyard bought it for from the owner.

this car wasn't in the junkyard, it was for sale as a whole, running, titled car in front of the junk yard. as far as i know, the car is still there.
