This body style really has grown on me , the more I see it .

I've always liked those. I was trying to buy one from a guy 15 years ago and he wouldn't sell it. Every time I go back home I see it as the rusty heap it's become, parked in the same spot too. 😢

Thanks guys I love this car! It took a few months of calls, back and forth to settle on a fair price and even a
visit from the owner ( to check me and my cars out, so he felt comfortable that I wouldnt destroy his car) and
the deal was made.

Thats a really nice survivor! I'm really impressed by all of the orginal equiptment still under the hood.

Had the H/O out for a local cruise today a few pics.

Thanks JBreu, I got lucky I looked at an H/O for sale and it was in sad shape for what the guy was asking.
So when we got home I just searched the internet and found this one for sale a few states away, on an RV site. The guy was
asking ALOT, much more then I wanted to spend. After about an hour I said what the hell and called him, told him
rite up front that I liked his car and was interested, told him he could hang up on me if he wanted and I wasnt calling
to low ball him. I offered him several thousand less then he was asking, but we talked cars for a while and he said he
would think about it and get back to me. I was like yea rite. Next day he calls and said we could work something out.
His wife said he was looking for the right person to buy the car, so he bent on the price! We paid $8000.
Just goes to show you when your dealing with cars it dont hurt to ask.

We showed up at that cruise 45mins before it was over, with alot of Very Nice cars there, It still took the Managers
Choice award, and the crowd around it was cool.

Nice looking Hurst. I have always thought the 1979 Calais had the best looking nose of all the G BODY Cutlass.Something about those egg crate grills I guess.
