Well, I'm down the rabbit hole and adding Ford parts to my Cutlass. This weekend, I picked up a 90's Fox body rear differential complete with 373 gears, all the brake hardware, and lines for $150. I'm having the 4 lug axles re-drilled for the 5 lug 4.75", but I'm unsure of some of the correct parts I'll need.
1. What's the correct lug size/thread (part#) for GM?
2. What's the flange and adapter u-joint needed to connect to my GM drive shaft?
3. What's the correct distance from the 8.8 axle's center eyelet (upper mount), to the center of the stock eyelet mount point on a G-Body? I'd like to fab the upper control arms.
4. Are spherical upper bushings mandatory on the axle?
So far, that's my grocery list. I'm fully documenting this swap, with all the costs and part numbers to put together a complete FAQ for the forum.
Thanks.
