80 to 78 Tailights PIX--updated demudflapped

Trunk, extension and quarter trim my husband found at a local junkyard for $25. Not perfect but looks ok. Tailights from ebay $55 door to door complete (tks S/W for the ebay headsup). So for $80 I have the 78 rear end I wanted.

I think the chrome looks so much better than the blacked out '80 look.

Only parts I need now are the 78 grills and the black driver seat belt holder. Then I'm done. Except for the 400 my husband is talking about :lol: "someday" soon according to him.

Nice car! I know this post is a little old but here's something that's helpful for the Grand Am & LeMans owners. The trim/impact strips on most of these looks pretty bad from age. If you're looking to replace it, an identical match exists. I found a roll of this trim at Advance Auto when I had my Lemans a few years ago. Matches the side moulding perfectly.

Are you interested in selling the tailights & grilles you took off ?
I have an 80 GA & did not get 80 grilles & both tailights were broken

Hey Sherry, love your GrandAm. I used to have a 79 myself and still have my nose piece and 14 inch snowflakes in the shed. Do you still have the taillights?

Keeping the '80 parts since the car is SO original.

Still looking for 78/79 grills. Can't find.
