81 Malibu project restarting

Added at least 15hp tonight, Full race hood pins. I think I may rotate them 90 degrees. I also want to move the cables, but I’m happy that I can comfortably drive on the highway now.

Since my 79 h/o post is closed I figured I’d post a pic of it from when my friend picked it up. He just sent it to me.

Didn’t look too bad, but it was a complete rust bucket under all that laquer primer and fiberglass. Him spinning it out put it out of its misery.

Should the rest of us g-body owners be worried about the hood flying up underway?

Rust & Weight Reduction... Get a title and take care of her!

GM's highly praised rust as you go process. This aerates the underbody and removes excess weight in the frame.

She’s long gone. And she was done before my friend hit the back of the car and ruined the quarters. The t tops rotted the car from the inside out. Plan was to save what I could and hope for a solid body. I got scared with the pandemic shutdown, and dumped the car the weekend everything was supposed to shutdown. Junked a good chassis and title.
