Crane makes a good adjustable vacuum advance put with an advance curve kit and you will be ready to tune it for power.


I have questions about the adjustable advance kit I have with my ACCELL HEI. I have three sets of springs and would like to learn more about how to make these adjustments. The instruction manual for the dist is very vague.

Any help would be appreciated.

The only hiccup I come across so far is the length of the alternator belt. It seems I need a 49" belt, the original 45" is too small.

Just ran into this myself putting everything together today... Were you able to find a belt that works?

Yea, I ended up using a Gates 7490 which is 49-5/8". If you look at my pics you will see how high that belt is though. If I were you I would get the 7480. It should fit perfectly
