Hi everybody just need help installing a kill switch on a 82 Monte Carlo it's my friend's car I just need a picture or some sort of diagram to look at or just explain it to me in simple terms I appreciate it once again

I use an old school foot operated high beam dimmer switch that I hide under the carpet They're easy to mount and easy to arm and disarm and heavy duty enough to handle the current through it.
I splice into the purple wire that goes down to the starter.
I did use the headphone plug-in jack on a car years ago. But I didn't like the fact that the plug in pin could also become lost.
