Guess I haven't updated the thread since I moved! New house, two car garage so I have more space to work. However, lots of projects in the works right now so one of them has to go.
Engine runs like a champ, cooling system is mostly there but no fan yet, I've modified a pair of F-body headers to fit and they're pretty close, but it still needs a full exhaust system the gas tank re-installed and I have to bleed the brakes. But most of the heavy lifting is done. Fairly easy project to get on the road.

Yup, my car is up for sale. I'm looking at a Porsche to do an LS swap into, hence why I'm selling my project wagon.
What model Porsche are you looking at? I can see an LS engine in a water cooled 944.

Looking at an 01 911 with a blown motor. I've worked on a 944 LS swap before, didnt get a chance to finish it but they turned it into a mild rent-a-racer and I heard it was astonishingly fast for what it was. Simple cammed 5.7 in a gutted 968/944..... I have a 5.3 kicking around so I may go that route or find an L33 all aluminum 5.3 to drop in to a 996/911.

Aaaaand I still have this thing. Slowly progressing, there are other projects ahead of it. But I did buy a new gas tank, Chevy Astro sending unit, and I used a stock Mustang efi 88Lph pump I had laying around. The plan is to run this pump for now, but since I’m running braided line on the feed I have an inline Walbro 255 I can install if/when I go efi on the wagon. Also would like to run a Boost-a-pump.
The gas tank is a Spectra unit part #GM704A, as per user SSN696 and it fits with some massaging. I installed it today with some funky adapters to run my braided line to a Holley fuel pressure regulator. Gonna leave it carburated for now, EFI 5.3 eventually.
She needs some love, brakes, headliner and an exhaust... once I button up the fuel system. I hope to finally have it road worthy and driving this season!

Well, over the last few months I managed to get most of an exhaust system on it using a hacked up setup from one of my parted out Mustangs. Catted h pipe with some 3" Thrush mufflers, and will exit behind the tires once done. Also picked up a full Mustang 8.8 installation kit from Trick Chassis. At this point, just waiting for the snow to clear some more so I can finish the fuel system, install the 8.8 and finish up the exhaust system.
I've also managed to finish modifying my '02 Silverado engine harness, so I will be installing the EFI setup sooner than later as well. I plan to daily drive this thing sometime in April. Will have some pics and video up soon.

Got the Ford 8.8 swapped in last month. Pretty straightforward, still 4 lug for the moment until I decide if I'm staying GM pattern or Ford/Mopar all around. I purchased a set of hubs from the forum to attach some C5/C6 brakes up front but remain undecided on wheel/brake choice. A friend is selling some gorgeous 3 piece Simmons 5 spoke 17" wheels but funds are tight right now!
Besides that I also picked up a set of Moog #5662 springs for the front, and cut one coil off. Considerably shorter than the weak, sagging (and one broken) factory springs but still managed to raise the front end to fairly level with the rear now. It looked like she was 2" lowered before!!!! Both front and rear got some new Monroe shocks as well.
Swapped in a 255lph fuel pump into the new wagon gas tank as well, so she will be ready for EFI once I am finished rounding up the rest of those items.

I wish I had more time to finish her up and get her on the road. Really want to drive this thing, but the way things have been up in the air lately and with a potential move ahead of me I may just finish her up and put her up for sale. So we shall see, but she is progressing into a nicely rounded vehicle. Would definitely suck to do all this work and not get to enjoy it.

Over the last few months, I have put very little time into the wagon. Priorities. That being said. I have managed to accumulate some more parts.... and more importantly I just took delivery of a 3500 Chevy Express van with a 6.0/LQ4 and 4L80e.

The carb'd 4.8/TH350 is coming out to be installed in a friends '79 Z28 and will pay for a paintjob on one of my Mustangs. And then I will drop in the complete EFI 6.0 and 4L80 and hopefully won't need too much more parts wise to get her up and running.
The spare 5.3 I have in the garage looks like it's never had an oil change, kinda crusty. So I will rebuild the heads off that motor, find a good matching cam and install the heads/cam probably sometime in the spring onto the LQ4 for killer torque and exceptional fuel economy for such a large motor! Also picked up a gorgeous set of 17" Simmons 3 piece 5 star wheels... but the hub bore is way too small to fit a G body front brake setup or even the C5/C6 brake adapter hubs I bought.

I wish I had a pair of helping hands, could get so much more done. Now I need to get all of this done in the next month as I will be moving.

Work has been insanely slow for the last couple of months, for obvious reasons. I have had some time to work on the wagon. I hope to have the rear suspension dialed in by the end of the week and on the road within a couple more weeks.
She is listed for sale, I have too many projects going but at least I’ll get to enjoy the fruits of my labour for at least a little while as this Coronavirus crap passes...
