from what I have read the EGR system needs to be in place , so the EFE would need to stay as well .

Yesterday I finished up the Atomic EFI install and got to drive the Elk .
No more stalling in gear, quicker throttle response and feels like more power .

What is your exhaust setup? Sounds good. I'd like to hear a few punts on the gas pedal...

Exhaust is the Pypes Stainless steel 2 in i cat back #SGG53S - System with Street Pro Mufflers
I would not recommend buying it , Very poor fit , I had to add over 1 foot of pipe behind each muffler to get tail pipes to line up , I also had to cut and shorten the over the axle sections so they wouldn't contact the frame .
I would have a local Muffler shop copy the Pypes design and use the Pypes street pro mufflers . be a lot quicker and cheaper. IMHO
